The city of Norfolk issued the following press release:
Fuel Crisis Assistance helps eligible households when Fuel Assistance or other resources cannot meet the need. Some examples of emergencies include: lack of heat, utility cut-off is imminent, and inoperable or unsafe heating equipment.
Fuel Crisis Assistance can be used to help families and individuals with:
* Payment of an electric or gas deposit if it is the primary heating source
* Repair or replacement of heating equipment
* Payment of primary heating bill (effective January 2)
To be eligible for Crisis Assistance, there must be a heating emergency and certain income and citizenship criteria must be met. The maximum gross ...
