The city of Roanoke issued the following press release:

In an effort to enhance the quality of life for the citizens of Roanoke and surrounding jurisdictions the Roanoke Police Department, Bedford County Sheriff's Office and United States Marshals Service will conduct Operation Inked II. On November 8, 2006 the names of all individuals who have outstanding warrants and/or summonses on file with these agencies will be published in The Roanoke Times. The objective of this operation is to encourage these individuals to turn themselves in, and to solicit assistance from the community in locating wanted individuals who refuse to cooperate with law enforcement.
