Article: Italian Inventors Develop Low Accuracy Voltage Sensor On-Line Calibration Procedure

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 4 -- Carlo Gemme of Pavia, Italy, Alessandro Colombo of Milan, Italy, Carlo Cereda of Caravaggio, Italy, and Alfonso Terrazzino of Aragona, Italy, have developed a method for on-line calibration of low accuracy voltage sensor through communication bus.

According to the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A method for calibrating voltage sensors in a switchboard, using a communication bus which comprises the following steps: performing a measurement using a first voltage sensor; transmitting an information derived from said measurement to an electronic device, through the communication bus; using said information to calibrate a second voltage sensor."
