The city of Everett issued the following news release:
The Everett Senior Activity Center will host a free USO Dance to honor veterans from 1 to 6 p.m. Saturday Nov. 11 at the senior center, 3025 Lombard Ave. in downtown Everett.
The event will feature the Moonlight Swing Orchestra, refreshments and displays of uniforms and clothing from the 1940s. The event will include dancers from Oly's at the Dorothy Jayne Studio, singers from NW Savoyards, the senior center's Sunshine Singers and old-time USO singers as well as various other performers. All veterans are welcome to attend, and can drop in for an hour or two at any time.
