Indiana banks reached some 27,000 youth - more than any other state nationwide - in April for the annual Teach Children to Save Day program. As a result, the American Bankers Association Education Foundation (ABAEF) honored member banks of the Indiana Bankers Association with the 2006 National Teach Children to Save Day State Participation Award at an awards ceremony in Washington, DC, on July 26.
Throughout April, 70 IBA-member banks reached out to youth with the critical message of saving money and managing finances for the future. A total of 499 bank associates made 927 presentations to schools and youth groups, reaching 27,155 youth. April's activity is but a snapshot of banks' ...
