Article: LAUDERDALE LAKES TOWN HALL MEETING FOCUSES ON REBUILDING IN THE WAKE OF 2005 HURRICANE SEASON

LAUDERDALE LAKES - On Wednesday, October 4, approximately 100 Lauderdale Lakes area residents attended a Town Hall Meeting hosted by Commissioner Hazelle Rogers to discuss the theme "Rebuilding Our City and Lessons Learned from Wilma."

"The purpose of this event was to make those residents who were affected by Hurricane Wilma aware of funds available for their assistance," stated Rogers, who organized the event along with the Lauderdale Lakes Community Council.

During the evening, homeowners with damaged properties were able to meet with Broward County Property Appraiser Lori Parrish and members of the County's Value Adjustment Board, and make appointments to have their damaged properties ...
