What Mark Foley did is reprehensible beyond words. Equally repugnant is his attempt to blame has behavior on his being molested as a child, and his supposed drug/alcohol addictions. The Republican Party in general and the Congressional Republican leadership has been just as repulsive as Foley in its behavior during this filthy matter. For a political party that has personal accountability as one of it major tenets, it sure is trying to pass the buck this time.
The Republicans have given everybody total answerability for Foley's actions but Mark Foley. Yet as detestable as Mark Foley's behavior has been, he is not alone in being someone who has violated trust by sexually abusing our ...
