The city of Roanoke issued the following press release:
On November 8, 2006 the Roanoke Police Department, Bedford County Sheriff's Office and United States Marshals Service conducted Operation Inked II. The names of all individuals who had outstanding warrants and/or summonses on file with these agencies were published in The Roanoke Times. The objective of this operation was to encourage these individuals to turn themselves in, and to solicit assistance from the community in locating wanted individuals who refused to cooperate with law enforcement. On November 10 as of 1 p.m. approximately 285 warrants and summonses were served within the City of Roanoke. All agencies involved in this ...
