Article: Japanese Inventor Develops Applicator for Makeup Instrument

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 13 -- Yuko Saito of Tokyo has developed an applicator for coating of various powders and liquids, which is used in the fields of cosmetics, writing, painting, and medical treatment.

According to the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office, the invention relates to an "applicator suitable for applying various powders and liquids in the fields of cosmetics, writing, painting, and medical treatment etc, which is particularly preferred as a make-up instrument such as a chip or a brush for applying eye shadow, and to a method of producing the applicator."
