Middlesex Community College issued the following news release:
Last week, the President's Committee on Diversity at Middlesex Community College (MxCC) invited Janet Peck of the Love Makes a Family organization to the college to lead a discussion about same sex marriages and civil unions.
Peck, from Colchester, told the audience, "I have been in a loving and committed relationship with my partner Carol Conklin for 30 years and, for all of these years, we have dreamed of getting married.
