Fort Belvoir issued the following news release:

Fort Belvoir Motorcycle riders will have to follow a new set of rules as stated by the Installation Management Agency's North East Region Office.

Starting Aug. 1, the Directorate of Emergency Services will require that motorcycle riders be screened by gate guards to:

* Verify that the motorcycle has been registered on post and is properly displaying the DoD decal.

* Verify that the operator is wearing the proper motorcycle safety gear.

* Verify the rider is in possession of the Motorcycle Safety Course Card/Certificate.

The safety equipment riders are required to wear includes: certified helmets, eye protection such as goggles or a face ...
