San Diego State University issued the following press release:

A new national report shows San Diego State University had 1,257 students study abroad during 2004 05, more than any other public university in California.

SDSU also ranked second nationwide among universities of its category in the latest "Open Doors" report, released this week by the Institute for International Education.
