Washington, Nov 23 -- According to a recent study, coral's size and shape might predict their survival around the world, when oceans start churning a result of weather change in the years to come.

The new model based on engineering principles has found that coral reefs are extremely vulnerable to the vagaries of undersea currents.

As such, the increasing violence of storms associated with global climate change, as well as future tsunamis, will have major effects on coral reefs.
