The U.S. Department of Justice's U.S. Attorney's office for Minnesota issued the following press release:
A former employee of ZMC Hotels of Duluth, Minnesota, pled guilty today to a federal charge related to her theft of more than $67,000 from the hotel company. Peggy Annette Ahistus, age 54, of Iron River, Wisconsin, appeared before United States District Court Judge Joan N. Ericksen this morning in Minneapolis to enter a plea of guilty to one count of forging a security.
According to court documents, Ahistus was a former assistant to the chief financial officer of ZMC Hotels. In that capacity, Ahistus processed and tracked certain charitable donations made by the hotel. Ahistus, ...
