Article: Daniel Craig refused directors demands to dye his blonde locks brown

London, Nov 27 -- New James Bond actor Daniel Craig has revealed that he was pressured by directors to dye his blond locks dark brown for his role in new 007 smash 'Casino Royale,' when he was faced with stark criticism from fans.

However Craig, who pumped iron for months to build up a 007 torso, refused to change the colour of his locks, which went on to give him the title of the first blonde Bond.

"I was asked to dye my hair brown to play this role but it was out of the question. I suggested instead that I could cut my hair really short to create a more brutal appearance," the Daily Mail quoted him as saying.
