Voith Paper has built a new one-stop manufacturing site for headboxes in Sao Paulo. The firm invested Real 4.1 million ($1.8 million) in the 1,250-m^sup 2^ plant, which will enable it to produce up to 24 headboxes/yr in Brazil, with a maximum width of 12 m.

The first order at Voith's new lean manufacturing concept plant is equipment for the cartonboard machine that forms part of Klabin's MA-1100 project in Telemaco Borba, Parana state, southern Brazil.
