Article: DEMOCRATIC NATIONAL COMMITTEE: NBC, EXPERTS LABEL IRAQ A CIVIL WAR; WHITE HOUSE CONTINUES TO SPLIT HAIRS

The Democratic National Committee issued the following news release:

Today, NBC and MSNBC announced that they would begin to refer to the situation in Iraq as a "civil war," despite MSNBC reporting that it is "a phrase the White House continues to resist." But, no amount of spin on the part of the Bush White House can prevent news organizations and independent observers from calling the war in Iraq-which just saw in October the deadliest month for civilians since the war began-for what it is: a civil war.
