Florida Atlantic University, a component of the state university system in Florida, issued the following news release:
Florida Atlantic University held its 11th Talon Awards Ceremony in the Live Oak Pavilion on the Boca Raton campus as part of Homecoming 2006. Since 1997, the Talon Awards Ceremony has recognized outstanding leaders from the community, alumni constituency, faculty and student body. Co-sponsored by the Florida Atlantic University National Alumni Association and Florida Atlantic University Student Government, this year's event and outdoor tented reception honored seven individuals.
