Acutek, Inc., Odessa, Missouri, is celebrating its 30th anniversary.

The family-owned injection molding company specializes in high-quality, high-performance reflective products and custom molding. Blow molding and assembly are also offered.

Founded by Ken and Judy Ploeger, Acutek started in an old shoe factory with 800-sq.-ft. and four employees. Today, the company is owned and operated by the Ploeger's daughters (qualifying as female-owned) and occupies 30,000-sq.-ft. with 13 employees in Odessa, which is 30 miles east of Kansas City.

The firm received its ISO 9000:2001 certification in 2005.
