Cumberland County issued the following news release:
On November 20, 2006, The Pennsylvania Fire and Emergency Services Institute presented the Chandler Associates Municipal Cooperation Award to the Cumberland County Board of Commissioners for the County's cooperation and dedication to the organizations providing emergency services to the residents and visitors of Cumberland County. Cumberland County was chosen for this award based on the programs established primarily through the work of the Commissioners. The Emergency Services Action Panel, created by the Commissioners, is comprised of members representing the emergency services and local and county governments.
