Article: ROCKVILLE BOARD OF APPEALS APPROVES T-MOBILE CELL PHONE TOWER AT JULIUS WEST

The city of Rockville issued the following press release:

The City of Rockville's Board of Appeals on Saturday, Dec. 4, voted 3-0 to approve an application by cell phone service provider T-Mobile to build at 50-foot cell phone tower on the grounds of Julius West Middle School. The school is located near the intersection of Route I-270, West Montgomery Avenue and Falls Road.

The issue had gone to the Board of Appeals after the City's Planning Commission on Nov. 15 voted 5-0 to recommend that the cell phone tower (also called a "monopole") not be built.
