Article: Taiwanese Inventor Develops Microwave Oven Protective Circuit Arrangement

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Dec. 9 -- Ming-Jing Wu of Taipei, Taiwan, has developed a microwave oven protective circuit arrangement.

According to the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A microwave oven protective circuit arrangement is disclosed to include a cutoff switch electrically connected between a power supply unit and a microwave oven for controlling the supply of electricity from the power supply unit to the microwave oven, and a detector provided outside the microwave oven to detect leakage of the microwave produced by the microwave oven and to output a cutoff signal to the cutoff switch to cut off electricity from the microwave oven when detected a leakage of the microwave."
