Article: PURDUE UNIVERSITY PRESIDENT JISCHKE TO DISCUSS PURDUE'S STATE BUDGET REQUEST

Purdue University issued the following news release:

Purdue University President Martin C. Jischke on Wednesday (Dec. 13) will discuss Purdue's 2007-2009 budget requests to the state legislature.

From 2-3 p.m. during WBAA* radio's live call-in show "AM 920 Magazine," Jischke will field questions from host David Bunte and the listening audience.

In fiscal year 2005-2006, Purdue received less than it did during the 2000-2001 year. This year's state contribution of $277.9 million includes an $8.5 million payment that the state has withheld for five years. Without that payment, this year's state contribution to the Purdue general fund is just seven-tenths of a percent higher than it was six ...
