Article: GRADUATE STUDENT SENATE RECEIVES MORE FUNDING FOR RESEARCH, TRAVEL GRANTS

The Ohio University issued the following news release:

The Graduate Student Senate has received more funding this school year to offer larger grants to a greater number of graduate students seeking support for research and professional travel.

Provost Kathy Krendl increased the amount of funding from $27,000 to $50,000 to boost the opportunities provided by the Graduate Student Senate Grants for Original Work and Graduate Student Senate Travel Grants programs. The new funding will be combined with a surplus of $6,000 from last year's fund, raising the total to $56,000. Vision OHIO, the university's strategic plan, prioritizes graduate student research.
