Article: BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS APPROVES CHARLOTTE COUNTY UTILITIES EMERGENCY CONSERVATION RATES, URGES CITIZENS TO CONSERVE WATER

Charlotte County issued the following news release:

Charlotte County Utilities has requested that the Charlotte County Board of County Commissioners implement emergency water conservation rates to be proactive and to support our existing watering restrictions. The rates will take effect January 1, 2007, and will remain in effect until discontinued by the Board of County Commissioners. Very low rainfall in the Peace River watershed, and the resulting low river flow conditions have resulted in below normal water storage at the Peace River Facility.
