The days leading up to the Christmas and New Year's holidays are some of the busiest on our local highways. In order to ensure the safety of our local residents traveling during this holiday season, New York State Police, Broome County Sheriff Patrols and other law enforcement agencies, with the support of Broome County STOP-DWI, are teaming up for National Lifesaver Holiday Weekend. It is a stepped up education and law enforcement effort to try to keep people from drinking and driving.
