Article: FINAL 2006 FEDERAL EVALUATION RATINGS OF ADEQUATE YEARLY PROGRESS NOW AVAILABLE

The Texas Education Agency issued the following news release:

An additional 79 Texas campuses earned the designation of meeting federal Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) after winning their appeals the Texas Education Agency announced today.

The final AYP evaluation ratings for both campuses and districts are available at http://www.tea.state.tx.us/ayp/2006/index.html.

Overall, 79 of the 233 campuses that appealed their ratings were upgraded to the Meets AYP designation. A total of 58 districts also appealed with 16 being successful in their final determination.
