Ugh, the annual meeting

It was annual meeting time throughout Corporate Land and thousands of CEOs had prepared themselves to answer a bewildering array of questions from a large claque of shareholders. A beautiful series of slides were made and shown. Resolutions were offered, votes taken, auditors appointed, directors elected, and press releases issued.

It should have been a splendid occasion. A time for the CEO to review his company's accomplishments, to share his vision, and to talk about the future with his shareholders, many of whom were employees of the company. That's what it should have been.

For many CEOs, however, the annual meeting is actually a non-event that produces a case of the blahs. Nobody ...
