PROFESSOR RUDOLF R.A. SCHRAMM PARADE OFAMERICAN MUSIC CLUB AWARD INCREASES FROM $125 TO $600

In 1955 Mrs. Ada Holding Miller, the 17th President of NFMC, established the NFMC American Music Department. That same year the Parade of American Music was begun. The Parade was established to create a time for special emphasis on all kinds of American music. February was established as the month for the Parade and member clubs of NFMC were encouraged to promote American music in their communities throughout the month.
