Offset and Digital. There was a time when putting them together was as contentious as the extreme ends of our political parties-but not anymore. Today, there is the realization that in order to satisfy the diverse requirements of customers, not only do these two printing technologies need to exist, they need to co-exist, oftentimes in proximity to each other.
What caused this change in thinking and what does it mean for the graphic arts industry? The answer to the first part of the question is a complex one.
