Article: NEW RIO WRESTLING TEAM IN TOP 20

Rio Grande Community College issued the following news release:

The University of Rio Grande/Rio Grande Community College now has a wrestling team, and it is getting some national attention for its success.

Rio Grande does not offer wrestling as a varsity sport, and until last year there was no wrestling activity on campus. Rio Grande students Shaun Fraley, Circleville; Evan Dishong, Buchtel; and John Mancini, Mentor, all loved wresting in high school, so they started a club wrestling team. During the first year, they organized the club and joined the National Collegiate Wrestling Association. This year the team is competing against teams from across the country.
