NEW DELHI, India, Dec 18 -- Police verification made mandatory for hostel seekers

GETTING LUCKNOW University hostels re-allotted would not be an easy task for students any more as the varsity administration has added several new clauses to the existing code of conduct to stop students from occupying hostels illegally.

A decision to this effect was taken at a meeting of the hostel provost on Monday.

As per the code of conduct, police verification of hostel inmates will now be mandatory. Students will have to give an affidavit to this effect. If an allottee is found sharing his room with other students, he will be expelled from the hostel.
