Article: SEN. SNOWE CALLS FOR EXTENSION OF RENEWABLE ENERGY PRODUCTION TAX CREDIT

The office of Sen. Olympia J. Snowe, R-Maine, issued the following press release:

Sen. Olympia J. Snowe (R-ME) has joined a bipartisan group of 41 senators as a cosigner of a December 14th letter calling on the Administration to include a five year extension of the renewable energy Production Tax Credit in the Fiscal Year 2008 budget.

"A long term extension of the Production Tax Credit provides much needed incentives for the development of renewable energy sources and serves as a catalyst for achieving energy independence," Snowe said.
