Article: STATE UNIVERSITY OF NEW YORK POTSDAM STUDENTS CROSS AMERICA TO CELEBRATE 50TH ANNIVERSARY OF JACK KEROUAC'S 'ON THE ROAD'

The State University of New York at Potsdam issued the following news release:

A total of 35 students, including 31 SUNY Potsdam students, and more than 25 academics and artists will crisscross America to explore the places that inspired Jack Kerouac's classic work "On The Road" over 14 days during the College's Winterim term beginning January 2.

In celebration of Kerouac's legacy, sociologist and audio producer Dr. Audrey Sprenger, a visiting assistant professor of sociology at SUNY Potsdam, along with composer, conductor, multi-instrumentalist and Kerouac's first musical collaborator David Amram and audio producer Shea Shackelford have created the course "Jack Kerouac Wrote Here, ...
