Article: Race hate crimes continue to spiral in Scotland despite multi-million-pound campaign

Edinburgh, Dec 27 -- The multi-million-pound Executive campaign named - "One Scotland" - to tackle the problem of race crimes in the country appears to have gone down the drain, as the number of such crimes continued to rise in the current year.

A rise of six per cent in such crimes was recorded this year over the last year.

Some 3387 racially-aggravated crimes and offences were recorded by the country's eight police forces between April and December this year, compared with 3192 during the same period last year, reported The Scotsman.

The increase has cast doubts on the effectiveness of the Executive campaign ...
