Technological properties of activated electrodes for manual arc welding

The increase of the productivity of the process of manual arc welding and of the quality of welded joints is an important task of welding production. In particular, the task can be solved using activating fluxes. The effect of the fluxes is manifested in the simultaneous effect on the arc and on the weld pool leading to the change of the electrical conductivity and cross-section of the arc column, the interfacial tension and convection of the weld pool. This increases the density of supplied energy, the stability of the arc, the depth of penetration of the metal and improves the mechanical properties of welded joints. Depending on the composition, the effect of fluxes on the arc differs. ...
