The U.S. Department of Justice's U.S. Attorney's office for the Northern District of Florida issued the following press release:
United States Attorney Gregory R. Miller, Northern District of Florida, announces that ALFRED BARNES (42) of Tallahassee pled guilty today to the conspiracy to defraud the United States of the right to honest services, in violation of Title 18, United States Code, Sections 1341, 1346, and 1349. Barnes is the second of five defendants to plead guilty in the case. His co-defendant, VINCENT JOHNSON pled guilty to the same charge on September 6, 2006.
