Article: Japanese Inventor Develops Device Units Recycling Sorting Technique

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Jan. 4 -- Osamu Ishibashi and Akira Maruyama, both of Nagano-ken, Japan, has developed a sorting technique for recycle of device units.

According to the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The sorting apparatus receives the electromagnetic wave from a storage element of a collected toner cartridge, and specifies the recyclability of the toner cartridge based on information extracted from the received electromagnetic wave.
