Article: CLEVELAND STATE ART GALLERY PRESENTS LOCAL ARTIST WHO CAPTURES TIMELESS STORIES OF JEWISH IMMIGRANTS, MAY 11-JUNE 3

Celeveland State University issued the following news release:

Over the past century, millions of people have immigrated to the United States, but few have been given a chance to share their story. Where did they come from? Why did they leave?

The Cleveland State University Art Gallery will present a new exhibit, "Eye Contact/Century to Century," in which artist Pamela Heller gives a voice to 16 Jewish immigrants who came to Cleveland over the last century to escape religious persecution in their homelands. The exhibit features a 40-minute video that highlights each immigrant's experience, as well as a combination of photographic images and mixed media.
