Auditor General Carol Bellringer plans to make improving the province's highly criticized Public Accounts Committee her top priority for 2007.
Bellringer, appointed to the job in July, released her first public report Tuesday with her office's annual review of the province's public accounts report, and said 2007 will be spent focusing on making that committee more effective.
"It is my intention to promote constructive improvements to the Public Accounts Committee operations this next year, as a priority activity for our office," she wrote in the report.
