A well-known Central Michigan University broadcast educator and three colleagues from across the nation have crafted a "focused, concise introduction to electronic media" that will save broadcasting students time and money while teaching them the basics of their field.

CMU School of Broadcast and Cinematic Arts Director Peter Orlik served as lead author of "Exploring Electronic Media: Chronicles and Challenges," a textbook released in December by Blackwell Publishing.
