Article: UNITED KINGDOM: HMS SCOTT'S COMMANDING OFFICER AWARDED AN OBE

The government of United Kingdom's Ministry of Defence's Royal Navy issued the following news release:

HMS Scott's commanding officer has recently become an Officer of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (OBE) in recognition of the work that he and the ship have achieved in the last two years.

Under Commander Steve Malcolm's command, HMS Scott has been involved in a number of high profile events both at home and abroad, most notably the survey work off Sumatra in the wake of the Boxing Day tsunami in December 2004.
