Article: SEN. LITTLE, SENATE COLLEAGUES ANNOUNCE PLAN TO FIGHT MEDICAID FRAUD

New York State Sen. Elizabeth Little, R-Queensbury (45th District), issued the following news release:

At a news conference in Albany today, Sen. Betty Little (R,C,I-Queensbury) and her Republican Senate colleagues announced an aggressive plan to combat Medicaid fraud that they are estimating would save taxpayers more than $2 billion annually. Little is a member of the Senate Medicaid Reform Task Force.

The Medicaid Fraud Prevention and Recovery Reform Act of 2006 is a 10-point plan that would fight fraud and abuse at every step of the process, from billing and pre-payment review to investigation, civil recovery and criminal prosecution of Medicaid thieves. Counties would be able to share ...
