Article: CANDIDATE SOUGHT TO FILL TEMPE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 3 VACANCY

Maricopa County issued the following press release:

Dr. Sandra E. Dowling, Maricopa County Superintendent of Schools, announced today the search for a candidate to fill a vacant seat on the Tempe Elementary School District No. 3 Governing Board created by the resignation of governing board member Kimberly A. Gomez.

To qualify as a governing board member, applicants must have been a resident in the Tempe Elementary School District for at least one year and be registered to vote in Arizona. According to state statute, no employee of a school district or their spouse may hold membership on a governing board of a school district by which they are employed.
