Placebo's that band with the really nasal lead singer. No, not Fall Out Boy. Or Panic! At The Disco. Or AFI. Or Plain White T's. Or Say Anything. Or, seemingly, any band that is currently popular. Before emo, there was Placebo.

Placebo is not a band that I've ever seen credited as being hugely influential to the current emo craze, but after seeing them in concert, it's hard to understand why not. You may not know much about Placebo-although they are huge in Europe, here they are something of a cult band. This is also hard to understand. Their music isn't very challenging.
