The University of Missouri issued the following news release:

With more than 16,000 patients each year, it's one of the largest hospitals of its kind in the Midwest. Many of its patients, however, have more bark than bite. At the University of Missouri-Columbia's Veterinary Medicine Teaching Hospital, patients range from companion animals, such as cats and dogs, to farm animals, like horses, cows and bulls, and often undergo emergency surgical and medical procedures performed by faculty, interns and residents, staff, and students.
