WASHINGTON, Jan. 15 -- Rep. Wayne Gilchrest, R-Maryland, has introduced the Chesapeake Bay Restoration Enhancement Act of 2007 (H.R. 16), legislation that would "amend the Federal Water Pollution Control Act to improve and reauthorize the Chesapeake Bay program."
The bill, introduced on Jan. 4, was co-sponsored by 18 representatives. It was referred to the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee.
