ALEXANDRIA, Va., Jan. 16 -- Mir A. Imran of Los Altos Hills, Calif., Olivier K. Colliou of Los Gatos, Calif., Sharon L. Lake of Menlo Park, Calif., Harm TenHoff of Mountain View, Calif., Timothy J. Hughes of Palo Alto, Calif., and Ted W. Layman of Park City, Utah, have developed a capsule and a method for treating or diagnosing the intestinal tract.
According to the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A device and method for mapping, diagnosing and treating the intestinal tract is provided using a capsule passing through the intestinal tract. Further, a capsule tracking system is provided for tracking a capsule's location along the length of an intestinal tract as various treatment and/or ...
