Article: Rep. Gallegly Introduces Animal Fighting Prohibition Enforcement Act

WASHINGTON, Jan. 16 -- Rep. Elton Gallegly, R-California, has introduced the Animal Fighting Prohibition Enforcement Act of 2007 (H.R. 137), legislation that would "amend title 18, U.S. Code, to strengthen prohibitions against animal fighting."

The bill, introduced on Jan. 4, was co-sponsored by Reps. Earl Blumenauer, D-Oregon, and Roscoe Bartlett, R-Maryland. It was referred to the House Judiciary Committee and House Agriculture Committee.
