Minnesota State Rep. Michael V. Nelson, DFL-District 46A, issued the following letter:
Over the course of the next week, Minnesotans across the state will have an opportunity to change the shape of local, state and federal government by attending their local precinct caucuses. Caucuses for all parties will be held on Tuesday, March 7 at 7 p.m.
A precinct caucus is a neighborhood meeting and the first step in the political process allowing citizens to get together to discuss issues and candidates. Decisions concerning a party's platform and candidates begin at the precinct caucus.
